Born into a family where music was more than soundâit was serviceâJoy Bloom discovered her passion for music at an early age. Her mother played piano and sang for the church, while her father led praise and worship, filling their home with harmony and purpose. Naturally, Joy followed in those footsteps, embracing music not only as a craft but as a calling.
   For over two decades, Joy has studied, performed, and taught music with a deep commitment to both excellence and ministry. A proud graduate of Texas Southern University in her hometown of Houston, Texas, she earned her Bachelorâs degree in Music Studies, blending academic foundation with heartfelt artistry.
   Throughout her journey, Joy has shared the stage with world-renowned artists such as Cory Henry, Delfeayo Marsalis, Joe Sample, Robert âSputâ Searight, Jeffery White, and many others. Her growth as a jazz pianist was profoundly shaped by legendary mentors like Hal Galper and Houstonâs own Bobby Lyle, whose influence continues to resonate through her playing and teaching.
   Beyond performance, Joy finds her greatest fulfillment in serving God through music and helping others discover their own musical voice. She continues to teach, mentor, and inspire upcoming musicians through masterclasses and personal coaching, fostering a new generation of skilled and soulful pianists.
